IRVINE — A 53-year-old man free on bail after allegedly exposing himself to a 9-year-old girl and assaulting her at a library in Irvine was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in a Target store in Irvine in 2021, authorities said Wednesday.

Christopher Eduard was arrested Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles in connection with a sexual battery of an 11-year-old girl inside the Target store at 13200 Jamboree Road on May 24, 2021, according to Irvine Police Department Sgt. Karie Davies.

Eduard had been arrested Friday and bailed out. That arrest was near his home on suspicion of exposing himself to a 9-year-old girl and assaulting her at the Orange County Public Libraries Irvine Heritage Park branch on Yale Avenue on March 21, according to Irvine police Lt. Bill Bingham.
