Irvine-based rock group Young the Giant announced dates for its summer tour on Thursday, Jan. 26 and the outing includes a hometown show at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine on Aug. 19.

The band will also hit Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Amphitheater in San Diego on Aug. 20 and have support from German indie-rock duo Milky Chance and Rosa Linn on these tour stops.

Tickets for both dates will be available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at Ticketmaster.com. There’s also a presale for fans and exclusive VIP tickets avaialble starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 at youngthegiant.com.

The VIP  packages will include a private pre-show performance, Q&A with the band, premium tickets, an exclusive signed poster, early venue entry and merchandise shopping.

The tour is in support of the YTG’s 2022 release, “American Bollywood,” its first album in nearly four years. Last year, the group also performed at the Wonderfront Festival in San Diego. Vocalist Sameer Gadhia announced to the crowd, “This is our last show for a long time,” before exiting. But it doesn’t seem like fans are going to have to wait too long to see the band again.
